We offer a wide range of services, including community engagement and research, training, consultancy and coaching.
In our experience, these different services often overlap – and you might need a piece of work that combines more than one. That’s why we always start with what you want to achieve, then find the right mix for you.

We work with you to understand the needs within your team and what you want to achieve with the training. Then we design bespoke training that will equip your people to reach their potential and thrive.
Often our clients need a piece of work that doesn’t fit neatly into one category. Instead, it could be a multi-discipline project that runs over several years. Below are examples of programmes we design and project manage.
We’ve been running this flagship youth programme for the Olympic Park since 2014. We facilitate meetings between young people in the area and architects, planners and senior managers. This means they can give feedback on development proposals in the Olympic Park area. We also provide community research, leadership training for the young people, and consultancy.
The NG200 Welcome is a year-long programme celebrating the 200-year anniversary of the Gallery. As the engagement specialists on the design team, we've facilitated co-design groups to represent views of people all over the UK. We've also run an innovative project that engages with young people around the archaeology finds unearthed during the dig.
One project we're working on includes exploring why vaccination rates are dropping, and what we can do to reverse this. The range of work across all our projects together is a little mind boggling, but includes: staff training; facilitating groups for young people with health needs like epilepsy and asthma; producing podcasts with young people; and consultancy.
We've supported the Ministry of Housing, communities, local government and the Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission over several years. A key part of this role has been providing strategic advice on community outreach. Then heading up the community engagement, reporting on views, and giving analysis.

We support you in a variety of ways, including:
We work with NEUCP to help disadvantaged young people enter higher education. Kaizen provides mentor training for students from five universities (Teesside, Newcastle, Northumbria, Durham, and Sunderland), along with staff training, individual coaching, and consultancy support.
We worked with NIHR to help improve engagement of people from diverse backgrounds in clinical research. This included adapting the Kaizen engagement models and engagement manual for the health sector, training and facilitating action learning for practitioners from across the country.
We're helping develop a nationwide engagement strategy for grassroots involvement in reviewing and rewriting the constitution. We also provide technical support on analysis and reporting.
