Get a better grasp of the issues, so you can make better decisions
Produce effective work that puts the community’s needs at the centre
We believe every voice deserves to be heard. And that meaningful work happens when we draw from many diverse opinions.
Founded in 2000, Kaizen is known for empowering communities through engagement and consultation. Our models are cited as best practice by organisations including the Young Foundation and the National Institute of Health Research. High-profile projects we’ve led include:
Engaging with bereaved families, survivors and local residents of
Grenfell in shaping the creation of the memorial
Leading an eight-year flagship youth engagement programme
Facilitating community co-design for the gallery’s bicentennial build programme.

We can support you at any stage of community engagement. Whether you need help creating a single engagement strategy, or you want us to run a large engagement and research project that spans years – we have the experience and expertise.

Every project is unique – so every engagement should be too. We use a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods. These include street engagement, door knocking, stakeholder interviews, ethnographic research, community workshops, public consultations, and co-design processes. And, of course, not forgetting our innovative pop-up focus groups.
Want to hear from 400 people that are representative of the demographics in your community? Or just young adults aged 18-30? Whatever you need, that’s what we’ll give you. And if it turns out to be tougher than expected, we’ll keep working until we deliver that within the agreed budget.
