Young People and Schools

Kaizen works with young people of all ages, in a wide variety of contexts; from empowerment and skills training for young adults, to intense residentials for at-risk teenagers, to training for unemployed graduates.

Examples of youth programmes we have delivered include:

  • Delivery of leadership residential for young people involved in the MyPlace scheme for Enfield Council
  • Leadership training for the Uprising programme for young leaders from across East London, for The Young Foundation
  • A leadership training programme to support young Premier League footballers for Southampton Football Club

Education and Schools

Whether you want to improve an area highlighted in your OFSTED report, or simply want to develop a more effective school environment, Kaizen programmes help schools to build leadership capacity from the ground up. In the last 19 years, we have worked with both staff and students from more than 400 schools across the country.

We Offer:

  • Community Cohesion and Engagement in Schools
  • Student Leadership Programmes and Pupil Engagement
  • Coaching and Consulting for Heads and Management
  • Enhancing Student Behaviour and Developing Emotional and Social Competence
  • Staff Coaching and Supervision
  • Inset Days and Twilight Sessions

Example Projects and Programmes:

  • School Council Leadership Programme in a cluster of 10 schools in Hackney for The Learning Trust;
  • Leadership training as part of a Masters degree on behalf of Teach First;
  • A programme to act as a bridge back to education for teenagers at risk of exclusion from school – in partnership with Young Potential East Midlands

“Would love to do this again. This has been excellent staff development. It has brought things alive in the department.” – Waltham Forest, Deputy Head
